1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ChordyMatch ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

ChordyMatch is a paid application (one-time purchase of $1.99 or equivalent in local currency). Upon purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to use the App on your personal devices for personal, non-commercial purposes.

3. No Refund Policy

All purchases are final. Because the App is a digital product delivered instantly upon purchase, we do not offer refunds for change of mind, platform incompatibility after purchase, or changes in functionality over time. Refund requests may be handled on a case-by-case basis by the platform store (Apple App Store, Google Play Store) under their respective refund policies.

4. App Functionality

ChordyMatch detects the currently playing song on your device and attempts to fetch guitar chords from third-party sources. Chord availability depends on the catalog of those sources. We do not guarantee that chords will be available for every song, nor do we guarantee the accuracy of chord transcriptions. Chord sheets are provided as-is for educational and recreational purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services for chord data (including but not limited to CifraClub and Ultimate Guitar) and for music detection (platform notification listeners and media APIs). These services may change, become unavailable, or modify their access policies at any time. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party data.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App in violation of any applicable law or regulation
  • Distribute, sublicense, or resell the App or its data
  • Use the App to scrape, mass-collect, or repurpose chord data for commercial use

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

8. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO RELIANCE ON CHORD ACCURACY, LOSS OF DATA, OR DEVICE ISSUES.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
